Hi all

below are some pictures of a boat that is still on rainbow beach after they tried to remove it to no avail.
At the moment it is locked up and still sitting there.

They were  anchored just behind Double Island Point and while they were sleeping the anchor has not held and they didn't wake up till they were in the wave zone.

been sitting there now for 48 or so hours.

The crane cracked it !!

Last nights surf did abit of damage to it as well. They were going to lift it and drop it on a low flat trailer. Oohh well would be better sunk of di for a good place to fish now. They are talking of cutting it up to remove now.

......the weather started getting rough,
the tiny ship was tossed,
if not for the courage of the fearless crew,
the Minnow would be lost,

Looks like the crane driver did not know about the suction effect of wet sand, they should have cleared the sand away from the boat hull before lifting the boat. bunch of amateurs.

What a shame for the owners, looks like it was a nice old tub.

Between the sand , surf & the salvage team (  >:D Gezzzzz ) . it might be better to wait till midnight . Then fill in the insurance forms by the warming glow of the burning hull that is beyond help . That split up the side screams land fill to me , very sad indeed
