My partner has depression and she is on medication. We chat about things all the time and she is an unbelievable person.

Mark, my wife too. Anxiety and depression. Medication, which has side effects, which makes the depression worse..
All bought on by a severe bout of viral vestibulitis (sic)....

We cope, we are best friends, which makes it easier..

Hey Jet, keep your chin up mate. Sounds like your doing a stellar job through some tough times. I'm sure Elle appreciates all your help and support.

You guys talking about depression should be proud of yourselves. Most people have it or have had it and its debilitating. It can ruin lives and friendships and families. It's not something that's talked about around the fire, or in the shed, or at the pub.

The worst bit is sometimes there doesn't seem to be a trigger or reason. It affects everyone differently. It's such an unknown beast.

Most importantly, you're not weak for suffering from it. People don't think less of you and you're not alone!

Richard.

Richard, I agree, but it is something that SHOULD be talked abut around a camp fire. One thing I have found is, there are a suprising number of sufferers who have not said anything, until you start talking about it and then, its on. As it should be.

Hi Group,

I have not been active on this group but new Shane from many years back when they were members of our 4WD club here in Brisbane.

I will always have fond memories of blackie at many of our outings either being the life of the party or contributing in his own way.
Since Shane and Elle have been on the road I have not see either of them but always got a kick out of reading there travel stories, how I wished that was me on the road, a dream yet to be for-filled.

Currently I plan to be at the celebration of Blackie's life and I think there may be a few others from our club, although not the best way to catch up I will be looking forward to catching up.

One thing is clear, life is too short for bad hair days  8)
