Finally got some time on the carved horse.

This is due to be finished next month the artisans challenge at Cobb & Co in Toowoomba.

Still not convinced I have rounded the body enough.

Ray

If it was one of our horses it would need a much bigger girth (I'm saying they are really fat)  ;D Nice work though

Took T2 off the workbench jib, stood it up out of the way. Then moved the workbench out of the way..

Then pulled everything out of under my workbench and welded in a couple of angle iron for shelf brackets and installed a shelf in that bottom section..

Ten repackped it, looks a lot neater and gives me a little more room..

Took me all day..

Learnt that you can cut timber with an angle grinder and cut off disk, but it causes a lot of smoke.. Not much heat though..

Thats, um..... rather different.
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....

Starting the  mounting brackets for the shocks on the c.t, not really sure if there will be any benefit other than it beats the hell outta watching the idiot box.

cutting wood with an angle grinder???,, ya what the hell,,, may aswell try that too
All my life, I thought air was free...until I bought a bag of chips

Still pulling rusted floor out of this trailer. Half done now so getting there, but ran out of angle grinder discs so need to grab some more tomorrow (not to cut wood though).

Used to work with a bloke who put a steel cut off wheel into his drop saw (for timber). That didn't go well he burnt the saw out because they are about 2000rpm too slow for cutting steel  ;D

Well not to day but recently.

1 knocked over a 280 kg lathe

then made a new stand for it so I could not do it again

Hacked the drawer unit the lathe flattened on its way down to gain more storage

Rebuilt a compressor, parked it out the back and plumbed it in.

Then finally got my DRO fitted to my Mill

And finally got everything shipshape

so I can work in my shed again, not on it.

Rewarded myself by buying a new TIG welder yesterday....

I think I better stop buying toys...

I am in love with your shed!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, I built the shed a few years ago, all 2.4x3.8 metres of it! it's been undergoing quite a transformation since I bought the mill and upgraded my lathe in January. I spent quite a lot on storage stuff as part of the makeover, just got to get 15 amp power to it then pour a level floor and it will be just about done. I have finally sold my drill press which had to go to make room for the mill.

The small space is actually nice to work in now there is plenty of room to put stuff away, everything is at my fingertips and everything is in wheels so I can move it up the other end of the house to the carport if I am working on bigger stuff or cars.

It was featured in one of the 4WD mags a few years ago as a mini-shed but if they saw it now, they would be blown away!

You will note there is room for camping gear still. The Oztent is not used much now I have a pop top.

We have to start thinking about what sort of a world we are going to leave for Keith Richards after we are all gone.

Ordered the LED lights for my tandem today from evilbay. Got 99.9% of the old floor out of it yesterday and measured up all the free checker plate today to see how many sheets I need (3 is the answer). Transferred the rego on the trailer today too (although I wasn't in the shed for that!).
