Thanks guys.

Love the University of YouTube for inspiration. Saw a bloke that calls himself Epic Upcycling. He does some amazing stuff.

I just upgraded with the dragon head handles.

Great idea, those quick grips are very versatile.

Turned all of the fly screen/blind in the caravan through 180deg, for the wife. The last van from the same manufacturer defaulted to the way they are now. The wife was confused  when we bought this van 2nd hand and they were all 'upside down'.
Also found one of the windows had 3/16 imperial (whitworth or UNC), countersunk machine screws holding them together, rather than M5x0.8 round head. Fortunately the screws were damaged/stripped not the receiving nut.

Got to this stage of building our new shed, this will be our accommodation while we renovate our house, after that it will be the workshop in one half and man cave in the other, it's 12m x 7.5m.

All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.

After a recent trip to Birdsville from Sydney and traversing some flood waters the alternator decided to crap itself. Purchased a replacement the day after we got home. Went to fit it the following weekend by removing the minimum nuts/bolts/brackets etc which in hindsight was wrong. Can't get access to something so remove the bashplate. Still could get to it so remove the engine cover. Still couldn't get to it so jack the car up and remove the front passenger wheel to go in through the wheel arch. Got everything undo except the bottom bolt on the alternator and started to round it off. Have up and put it all back together.
Purchased a 6 point socket as the 12 point was slipping off. Have it another go today and removed everything in one go including taking the battery out. Why didn't I do this in the beginning, so much better access. Got the alternator out of the car and placed it side by side with the replacement. Been given the wrong one. I gave Repco my rego number for them to determine the replacement. They have me one for a diesel Prado when I have a petrol model. By now it was 3.34 pm and they closed at 4.00. Rang them and they didn't have the correct one. Pack everything up and will try for a third time to get this fixed hopefully next weekend.

Not so much mancave or shed .. more like driveway ..
Onboard air is finaly now fitted up .. Mounted the old portable compressor on rubber exhaust mounts bolted into the tub floor and fitted up a 6 lt tank above it .. all wired up to the  200AH Lithium  and working a treat ..
Pressure switch keeps   the tank topped up 120 PSI Off / 90 PSI 0n .. Bit of overkill maybe, with compressor run time. Will have to see how it goes for temps ..
No more dealing with melted / blown airlines at the compressor fitting on the side of the road after coming off the beach though ....
Tie downs for the Baby Engel and wire in the Elcheapo Kings 1500W inverter next .....Got to keep the missus happy with her Cappuchino's from the coffee machine [ YUK ]

What were the symptoms.

I have a 60L Matson fridge (Waeco knock off) with an external power supply. Doesn't matter if 240V or 12V the fridge starts up then a few minutes later Shits down then a few minutes later starts up again. Looking for ideas on where to start looking.

Nice work.. I fixed a $600.00 printed Circuit Board for a mate the other day that had a broken switch on it.. Switch about $4, but couldn't find one in stock without paying big bucks for delivery. I was able to add extended pins to the broken one though, so all good.

It worked and cooled but didn't cycle and the readout said 80c no matter what temp it was set to, i also have a matson 40ltr that is faulty but it uses a domus compressor and i cant find parts for it.

this is a basic danfoss wiring diagram. To fault find any danfoss/ waeco etc fridge.Disconnect existing power connections and connect a decent 12v supply directly to the top 2 terminals. Then connect a wire between C and T, this will start the fridge up. if fridge doesnt start up or doesnt run as expected then connect a LED across   + and D as drawing shows.  The number of flashes of LED will show fault from the chart.
As far as fridge continiously running , this is normally a faulty thermistor, some later waecos have a spare tied up next to control board and just a case of swapping plugs.

there is a lot of other info on myswag as well as other sites.

Installed a new solar panel and controller on the 80.
