Nice, color coordinated and all !!!!   Bet that was fun.
Not overly.  But at least I know it's done right. Everything painted and rustproofed.  All electrical soldered and/or waterproof plugs. Took longer than expected.  As does everything I do.
Cheers, Mike.

Grabbed an extra 110w panel off Ebay and fitted it up under the shelf in the back of the car. Made up a set of legs for it so it can stand at whatever angle I want.

Decided to pack some ford and holden wheel bearings and vacuum seal them so there ready to go if needed. Also put some bearing grease in a zip lock bag then in a vacuum sealed bag.
Also made up a few leads for the camper.

The light bar on my old Rodeo stopped working. Changed out the relay and works again now.

Also pulled out the windscreen washer bottle out as the pump had stopped working. Ordered the new pump now just waiting for it to show up.

Very neat. Do you think vacuum sealing may also help suck out any air bubbles that may still be in the bearings too? I normally just use zip lok bags, but your way looks good.

Done nothing in the man cave as it is too hot out there. Staying inside with he A/C on is a much better plan..

Not sure. It may do but i did it because ive had a cheap press seal bag let go in with my tools and it made a mess.

Serviced and rotated the tyres on wifey's Pajero and rotated the tyres on the cruiser. I had a play with the handbrake on the cruiser and fitted some modified parts, but to no avail. I'm going to fiddle with the adjustment a bit more and see what happens. It hasn't had a handbrake for nearly 3 years so a bit longer without one won't hurt.

Checked the brakes and bearings on the camper for our Fraser Is trip next week. Bearings fine. Brakes were cactus. Trying to find 10 inch alko linings on New Year's Eve was a challenge. Replaced the linings both sides and removed years of grime. Didn't realise how bad the brakes were until they worked!

Last week.
Mount for the weber whilst finding a project for my new nutsert craze.
Cost $25 including the 4 plastic handled bolts so no tools are required when assembling.

I borrowed an air version from an engineer mate. Was brilliant.  So easy with the nutserts flush. Loved the principle so much I bought a  rivet type one but have yet to use it.

I'm all for having more tools, but a special tool is not necessary to install a nutsert.
They can be installed with a high strength bolt and a couple of washers.

Just saying.....

Fairly productive day really..

I have a largish job I have to do on my canopy (50-60 nutserts) so I bought the tool below. Works like a charm.
Pity I didn't know yesterday as I was out your neck of the woods Luckydog. If you are in town anytime and want to have a look at it give me a yell. Always a coldie in the fridge too.

We have to start thinking about what sort of a world we are going to leave for Keith Richards after we are all gone.

dales133

You can install nutserts with a high tensile bolt a nut and washer but its easy to bugger it up especialy in thin material by bending the material as you leaver on the spanner/ratchet.
Ive done it a fair few times this way but recently got a mediocre tool off ebay for about 35 bucks.
Fine for anything up to about 8 - 10mm in alloy or mild steel inserts.
No hope with stainless though

I haven't had any trouble. Perhaps the bolt you used was too short. A longer bolt gives more control.
