You want to have a look around or just blast through?

I haven't been up that way since 1990 but as a straight through run assuming no rain and tracks in OK nick you could get there in a full day with out major stops......but stop and enjoy the sights, I wish I had of when I was there the first time. I am now about to go back for a re run of our original trip............alot slower than when I was 22yo LOL

I was out that way a couple of months ago. From Cameron Corner to Lindhurst is a comfortable 2 days, or a rushed 1 day. The roads were all in good condition.

I'd recomend an overnight stop at Montecilina Bore on the strezlecki.

Theres a bit to see between Lindhurst and William Creek, so i'd recomend 2 or 3 days for that stretch, plus an extra day if you want to duck out to Lake Ayre.

All of those roads are fairly well maintained (except the side track to Lake Ayre from just south of William Creek).

Have fun.

Make sur you do the "old Strezlecki" section, I cant remenber how many K's after leaving Camerons Corner it is but we left CC at about 8 am and had smoko on the old Strezlecki section.

Couple of picks from Montecollina Bore.

It is only a rest area, so may not be on all the maps. Camping area is in amongst the dunes. There are NO ammenaties.

if you check out this trip report i did on another forum (i think it's here somewhere also, but couldn't find it), days 3, 4 and 5 go through the area you are talking about. http://www.4wdaction.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=179&t=98425 we didn't have a big look around the area, just stopped at a few places along the way as a part of our bigger trip
