Typical Yanks - no brains or skill, just plant the foot and hope for the best!

Redneckism at it's purist!

Maybe I'm getting cynical in my older age  ???

Interesting that neither the driver or navigator are wearing helmets.  With no stone protection at all, I would have thought it was essential.

All the same, as crazy a hobby as that seems.  I'd love love love to have a drive of one of those things!!!

Yep........hes a hero alright.  ???

Im fairly certain this one has been covered before here. Although I may be confused.
A few points,
1: I completely agree about the lack of helmets! I mean really???? Especially considering America's health care isn't really that cheap!
2: It would take allot of skill to Make that off roader! and I mean it is a WEAPON off road!
3: This is all filmed at a 4x4 park, and areas are set aside for these extreme 4x4's.
4: I would think it would take tremendous skill to actually drive one of those things? I mean it has more power at idle than my car does at full boost!  ;D

Last but not least, I will admit I am slightly jealous of that toy. But it us purely that... a TOY lol.
Still an interesting conversation, thats for sure!

There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.

4.11 is very impressive

I must admit I do enjoy watching the Icelandic Formula Offroad stuff very similar to the US vid at the start of the thread

Seems not too dissimilar to what and how they drive at Tuff Truck Challenge..
Normally only go full noise if crawling does not work, though. Prefer the strategic crawling myself....

Some seriously tough diffs in that thing though...

2007 Jayco Flamingo Outback follows the 2008 D4D Prado. Lets get out there...
