Jeepers Creepers

We are thinking of bunking down for a 5 or 6 day stay at 1770. I was looking at the website for a CP that overlooks the water etc and they say its only a 5 minute walk to town for pubs and stuff, the beach looked ok and all that.

Anyone got an opinion on the CP or which one is god or bad and for that matter, if anyone would want to maybe join us up there?

I need to hold off until then though, as being a lawnie for a living, the next 3-4 months are pretty busy for me.

You should never walk out of the public toilets sniffing your fingers.

Have stayed in 1770

Great location, sites are a little small but you can have fires on the beachfront sites.

Great if you have a tinny.

Facilities are minimum but clean.

Very popular so best to book early.

Had made some enquiries about staying at Agnes Waters as the beach was fantastic.

http://agneswaterfirstpoint.com.au/ looked great when we checked it out two years ago, however, recent enquiries seem to indicate that the beachfront sites are being replaced with cabins. Such a shame.

Each time we return to this part of the world the developers seem to be making it a little more commercial bit by bit.

The other commercial camping area is http://www.1770holidayvillage.com.au/ have only ever stayed in cabins here.

Bit further from the beach but has a few more extras, eg pool.

For national park camping this is also an option http://www.nprsr.qld.gov.au/parks/deepwater/index.html

Jeepers, check out the reviews on Tripadvisor.com.au.  I was looking at 1770 and Agnes Waters Parks earlier this morning, as we're trying to decided where to head to for a couple of weeks in March.

You had better check if the agnes pub is still open too....................it was up for sale by the receivers, like everything else up there.
If its closed 1770 is the go as its across the road. Agnes is the better bit of beach some local shops and stuff as well.

Cheers NOmad

I was thinking late April, but found out today, we have freeloaders from NSW coming then to visit us.

March is a little too busy for me work wise, but May could be a goer. My hatchday falls on the May 13th, so maybe a birthday bash getaway could work.

Not long back from stradie than but might be able to make it for a day trip and see if a couple of the other guys from bundy are keen
After getting prices for the ute and camper van to stradie now I know why you don't see many trailers over there $326 return cheaper to roll the swag out at the Hilton

Try Hawkins barge to Moreton Island. Second mortgage required.

There is only one provider and no competition, they can charge what they want.
