Late September, I ordered an off road Central Coast Camper. Hopefully I will get possession if this in the next couple of weeks. The waiting is killing me, I want it now.

Not having owned a camper before, I would like some advice from the seasoned owners of campers.

Is there anything I need to do when I take possession, to ensure this last a long time. For example canvas conditioning, etc.

Also what regular servicing do I need to undertake.

All advice welcome

Many threads on here about seasoning ya canvas when new
Central Coast Campers use Good Aussie Dynaproof Canvas so no hassles with quality
Basically put it up in the back yard and if u can leave it there...hose it down...i mean really wet that sucker till water comes in thru the seams and wet it some more
Then let the sun dry it out,u may need to be nearby as as it drys it will shrink a bit and u may need to adjust your bows etc
All dry.....Do it all again....then again.....
Or the best way..JUST GO OUT AND USE IT........ if it leaks in a storm....MEH!
We seasoned ours in the yard for a bit then took it out camping... flogged down one night...leaked a little....flogged down a few days later....dry as ;D

Just make sure when u pack up its dry..... or if u cant dry it put it back up at home to dry within a few days or u will get mould

Welcome shakey.  Seasoning the tent is about getting the cotton content of the canvas to shrink and close up the holes created by the needle/s when sewing the tent together.  Not so much about shrinking the actual canvas.  Really you will/should only get a bit of water, if any at all, in through where the stitching is.  My advice, just use it and don't stress the seasoning thing.

Happy camping
