In 2 wks time we're spending 1.5-2 wks along the Great Ocean Rd, anyone know of places along the track that sell block ice? Gotta keep the milk chilled ;)

Most service stations sell ice, as do good general stores.

Not exactly a track.

You can get ice at Lorne, Anglesea, Wye River, Kennet River, Apollo Bay

No dramas what so ever

He is after block ice by his wording, not the normal bags of ice that melt quicker. Might be a bit harder to get block as opposed to bags of ice ???

Block ice is getting harder to procure from your run of the mill frozen water reseller.
Used to be quite common in the more regional areas, but alas now not so, or not so now, no.

Sorry Lost, I never use the digital yellow pages, it either sends you off on a whole different world, or know not what it speaks
eg: Squeeez Fruit Bar at Mudgee sells a 10ltr container of ice for $3, but yellow pages won't point you there  :(

Yes, it's block ice I'll be after folks. Thought (hoped) some who'd gone before would have access to knowledge usually reserved for locals.
Looks like it'll be a daily fortune in party ice  :(

must admit 100% the same, but thats what came up when I googled... so it *COULD* be right.

I just searched for Dry Ice Dandenong and got
Sound FX DJ Service

One way to do it is to find a BOC depot or Air Liquide (I used to deliver pallecons of dry ice to them), they sometimes can help you out.
I'd have thought somewhere where boats come in could help out, like Port Fairy maybe?

Stick your party ice in a (cleaned) zip up 15kg dogfood bag. Stops water going everywhere and still keeps your  cold.
