Where is the best place to buy CGear matts from? I want one 2.5m x 6m and would like to know whats the best price you've heard for this recently?

cheers

bunyip

There are lots of places, I think we got our 2.4m x 6m from Kangaroo Tent City at the Penrith show for $250.

You can usually get a much better price if you can wait for a show.

Good to hear. Minister wants one, & I've managed to convince her to wait till the Batemans Bay show next month :)

You won't be disappointed, we loved ours when we used it for the first time over the long weekend.

Got ours from Hannibal Safari, 1st mat they posted free and the second at the penrith show, even further reduced. Both Times the price was better than my usual supplier ( eBay)

Great stuff highly recommended
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Thanks all for the time put into this- The Perth 4x4 show is coming up in November but I am unsure what "deals" are to be had because some of the shows I've been too hike the prices up for the bloody show so I'm undecided where to gamble.

Show's just around the corner if you can wait.
So as you've now done, have an idea of the price(s), see what price at the show & compare ;)

I'm going to splurge on some CGear before our next long camping holiday. I'm just going to go with ebay - any of the links that shrek supplied will do the job (they're all the ones on my watch list anyway!).

We currently use the OzTrail mesh, and while it's good, it's not great. Camped at the beach a fortnight ago, and needed to sweep the sand off it 2 or 3 times a day. Consequently, lot of sand ended up inside the camper. My hope is that the CGear stuff does what it says on the tin, and the sand will fall through. If you're not going beach camping though, the Oztrail stuff is good for normal grassy spots so long as you peg it out tight.

Cheers!
Matto :)

We got ours at the Melbourne 4x4 Show at the 'Trackabout' stand. The small size was $20 of regular price. They also had a tray of sand and various types of shade cloth/ ground mats so that you could actually test them all which made the the sale as far as I was concerned.

Shop around (like you are doing here) and know what $$ you can get it for (+postage).
Wait for the show (if you can) and then compare price.  If it is cheaper at the show - get it.  If not - order it.

We use OZTrail under the tent floor, CGear under foot in the annex.  The combination works well.

Snowy's Outdoors - they have free delivery - and quite often they have 20% off sales so buy it then.

Well I've just returned home from the Perth 4wd & Adventure show and brought myself a CGear 2.4m x 6m mat for $250 and was bl@@dy wrapt.
