Hi All, my daughter has a Suzuki Jimmny and is considering getting a small light weight camper. Can any of you recommend any particular brands?

A Pod trailer would look good behind the Jimmy

Looked at the Ultimate Go (or the Ultimate XTRK/Elite)......??
Another option would be T-Van....

Given the GTM and ball weight issues one of the swaggers had with his new T-Van, I don't think it would work behind a Jimmny.
I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go...

Indeed ball weight can be an issue.
Ball weight on an Ulti (unladen) is 35kg...
People towing Ulti's with Subaru's, VW passat, and other lighter vehicles...
No doubt, there's probably other light weight camper traier option as well...

How about a alloy trailer and a root top tent ..  works great for us  -- it 18 months later it's been from Darwin to Melbourne..  Kununurra WA

Plenty of 4WD trips with the Top End 4WD club  -- Nice feature it's just so easy to setup, and light, no brakes on the trailer needed, easy to push around when disconnect..

A bit of a write up of how the camper was setup..

Hi

Jimboomba campers specialise in aluminium campers. They might be worth a look.   Mate just bought one and he loves it.

Drifta have started selling a tourer that might suit http://www.drifta.com.au/CapeYorkTourer.php

Given their excellent reputation for kitchens this might be worth a look

I started out with an X-Trail so not much bigger than a Jimny.

I have a Cub Kamparoo Weekender with the Transcontinental pack.  It only weight in at about 400 Kg and will follow the car anywhere..

After upgrading the car I love the lack of weight..

Light on weight but with lots of room..   :cup:
