Just upgraded from a Waeco CF50, which has been really good for a number of years, to a Primus Mammoth 92L dual-zone.  No more fridge space issues!!

Pradolot

Primus 65 ltr dual Zone.    Best thing I ever bought. I researched for months before buying my first fridge (as I do everything :/)and came up with this result. It's actually running inside now as a freezer because my house one broke......like a few months ago...  Still going strong.

Odog

We use a Waco cf50 in the car, and have, I think it must be about 50lt upright fridge with small freezer in the camp trailer, which is also a Waco.

Engel - 38 litre I think it is - I have an additional piece to add on top

so can freeze on bottom and cooler in the top section

got it off a mate about 5 years ago - it is prob about 10-15 years old now - doesn't miss a beat

cheers daz

Evakool RF110lt (White fiberglass).

Brought it in a deal package. Got the 110lt with the extras and the 85lt icekool (Blue) for $1350 in 2013.

Best fridge I have had. 0 setting using it just as a fridge keeps the beer around 1.2-2 degrees.

RallyDog

39 ltr Engel in back of car and 60 ltr sitting in the shed.

Evakool were doing real good deals at the 2014 Brisbane Caravan and Camping show.  The 70l Fridgemate was selling for only $899 which is $100.00 cheaper than when I bought mine from there 2 years ago.

Apparently they are upgrading as current model has been around for awhile now and are getting rid of excess stock????  Didnt let on too much, just said different colour, same compressor, same insulation etc.  I asked if going to digital temp adjustment and they said they were.

Anyway my 70 litre fridgemate works well so you may be able to get a good deal from Evakool before current model stocks runout.  Sorry I didnt ask about the fibreglass fridges.

Iron Bark Hak

I have a mobicool a cheap Kmart job with Waeco internals I've had for about 5   it's out lasted 3 4wd as still going strong
2014 NW Pajero Exceed and a 2014 MDC Crusader

Coolblue80

We have a 80l Primus.  Great fridge.  Used to have a 650 Oz trail which served us well. Upgraded for a bit more room.
2015 Mitsi Pajero. Dobbo MRR Lift, ARB Bar, MM4X4 Lock Up Mate, Intervolt DC Pro DBS, 12,000lb Mako winch. Bla Bla Bla.

96 80 Series. Lots of mods, not enough wheeling. - Gone but not forgotten.

I agree these fridges are great but doesn't fit in the boot of the Falcon :'( that's what happens when you let the wife decide how big the fridge should be.

Calm down if it wasn't for the big fridge would not have needed to buy the Lifestyle camper with walkway large enough for the fridge and toolbox large enough for the fridge. So win win if you ask me now to go and buy another 110 litre everkool to fill both spaces lol

So, I'm close to biting the bullet and picking up a fridge as an early Xmas present to myself :)

Can't decide between:

1) Waeco CFX-40 ($899 with protective cover) (or I can buy it $750 today as BCF have a special)
- Interior LED light with magnetic switch
- USB charging port (to charge phone etc)
- LED control panel

2) Engel MR40F Eclipse ($699)
- No interior light
- No USB charging
- No LED control panel

Anyone got anything to push me either way :D

I've owned an Eclipse and a Waeco (110ltr) and i'd probably buy the Waeco again. Though I think the engel is slightly more reliable and robust (don't hear  anout anywhere near the electronic promlems) I like the thermostat feature. I have frozen the eggs more thimes than i care to admit in the Engel.

Hi folks, sorry for multiple posts.

I've just started discussing a new fridge with my better half and she's set on something with a proper dual zone so we can run fridge and freezer at the same time with different controls for the two sections.

But we don't want anything bigger than 60L. Is the Primus Mammoth 65L dual zone our only option?

What is the feedback on this fridge and dual zones?

Thanks again swaggers!!

Hey Mate,

We (Ironman 4x4) also do a dual zone fridge thats 65L. We love them and they are our best selling fridge for a reason! Convenience and space!
