Noccundra.  Definitely one of the best experiences we had. Camped across the road there for a night on the way to the Corner, like it so much we stayed for another 2 nights on the way back!

Also, the Hungerford Pub.  Great spot in the middle of nowhere. Just the way I like it...

Mike.

Don't argue with idiots.  They drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience.

Barrow Creek Hotel (NT) brings back fond memories of alcoholic poisoning on my way through in 1980. Spent 3 days after comatose in the back seat of the HQ while the boys kept driving. Finally woke up at Ayers Rock (as it was then) 3 weeks before that dingo became famous. Probably the same dingo that raided our food supplies.
Stopped again in 1990 at Barrow Ck with SWMBO but didn't get the same vibe as the 1st visit. And yes I still drink Jim Beam (the culprit).

In Tilba is the Dromadary Hotel

In Berrima is the Surveyor General Inn

Claims Australia's oldest continuously licensed Inn. The Inn was built by William Harper in 1834 licensed in 1835 and was handed over to his son, James Harper in 1835 who became the first publican. License No. 109385

Ranks with New South Wales earliest Pubs.

Brilliant building with original sandstone and woodwork. The history and the superb steaks make the Inn well worth the slight detour.

The Historic O'Connell Hotel, never missed a night here when going to the Bathurst Bike races, opened in 1865, is in the hamlet of O'Connell, half-way between Oberon and Bathurst. ;D

And of coarse

Hero Of Waterloo, Oldest Pub in Australia, but not continualy licenced The Rocks Sydney

The Lord Nelson, has it's own brewery, 3 sheets is an outstanding beer. The Rocks Sydney

Star Hotel Newcastle, sadly closed

The George in Newcastle.

Just to name a few.

Baz.

First job was on Newcastle Railway Station ( junior station assistant) first pay was spent over the bar at the George Hotel, and me old Mum never ever let me live it down, spent a lot of time in the George when i was a young bloke.. was a great pub.

The Eimeo hotel near Mackay

The pub itself is OK but the view of the Whitsundays (Brampton, Goldsmith etc) from the beer garden is hard to beat.

Whenever I go back home to Mackay I try and get out there for a quiet beer.

Wouldn't call it a Pub, but I reckon it still rates a mention  :)

Was many moon ago, so many infact, that some of the finer points could be (probably are) in error, but the concept is still the same...
Was boating up the Hawksbury river, and pulled in to get fuel at a little place called Spence, or Spencer or close similarity.
Across the road was a bottleshop - could've been a general store with a liquor license. You'd buy your poison of choice, then walk back over to the riverbank where there was a large tree with bench(s) around it. Hanging of a branch on one side was a Saloon sign, on a branch on the other side was a sign that said Public Bar  ;D
Bob and Robyn

Jeepers Creepers

We were the only one's there this day. Yes, thats our bikes out front. The Mrs had a Triumph ST Sprint back in those days.
On the trip north, i was cruising at a sensible 185 kph when i got "passed by her doing 210 kph". We got her a Harley trike to slow her down..... worked too.  :D

I DON'T CARE HOW NICE THE HAND SOAP SMELLS.....
