How is this for a new camper..



Don't get excited.  It was an architect competition.  But I am sure there is an idea there for someone building one

I don't actually mind that. The architectural aspect anyway. Not sure about it's off road capabilities.

No need for European campers to have any 4WD/off road capability - it is illegal to go 'off road' as we know it in most of Europe these days. Dirt 'roads' that qualify as a 4WD track as we know are to be had, but they are not camper friendly any way, even with an Aussie 4wd camper.

As for European campers/caravans- one place in Sydney has a lot of them in their yard. Just for some thing to look at we went in and had a gander. If those things lasted more than 2 years on our roads with out major work and rebuilding of the interior I would be surprised. Weaker than warm cow poop when new, let alone after a few corrugations. some had wooden chassis and I know a few places in WA where an over night stop would mean the white ants would have chewed (well,  digested anyway) the chasis out whilst you slept. (Pemberton, Sawyers Valley etc)


They may look all chic , but the reality is they aren't woth looking at.
Like the original intent of teh post though, could be an idea or three in there.
