Yes I do, practise make perfect. And some meals just taste better in the camp oven.
I know a few that even use theirs in the oven when fire bans are on...lol

G'day penguin,

To MySwag.
We're able to have a fire in the backyard were we are  ;D
Approached the local Bush Fire Brigade , council and got all the information needed, 'Only to be used for cooking'

Some of the best times are had around the fire.
It also helps to teach the kids about fire, I've taught the kids how to start a fire with a magnifying glass and how to maintain it. When we go camping, I feel confident that the kids aren't going to be doing stupid things around it.
I reckon approach your council, they will have most of the information you need.
It all depends on what type of fire you are wanting to put in.
Hope you enjoy your time here.
happy & Safe travels.

You don't use magic to disappear, all you need is a 4wd & a Swag ;)

G'day & Welcome.

We don't have a fire at home, but will as soon as I finish my fire-in-a-gas-bottle. I use my camp oven at home more than when camping, love to do a slow cooked leg in it.

Welcome to the forum Penguin..

No you are not alone.  We had a friend of ours give us a great camp oven setup and have used it twice in the last three weekends.

We also have an old washing machine drum on bricks that we light nearly every weekend and have also had a huge bonfire this winter.....we are also out of town of 15 acres so that helps... :cup:
