Late Scratching

Well, those on the trip already know. For the rest of you..

We almost got to the starting line... In Cairns on Friday night, 12 hours before departure time, we went to visit friends in Trinity Beach and the Missus rolled her ankle on a curb... Went to dinner at the Trinity pub anyway (as you would ) but afterwards decided it was better to get it checked as she couldn't put any weight on it. Off to Cairns Base Hospital we go...

4 hours later it's confirmed that she's broken the ankle in 3 places 

That's the end of our trip...    Now stuck in Cairns waiting to go to a specialist on Tuesday to see if it needs to be pinned.

There better be another trip next year....

Oh, and 26 4Bs rolled out of Cairns on Saturday morning in the rain, adventure bound..

There was a lady at Twin Falls yesterday with a broken leg in a wheelchair. They carried the wheelchair right down to the falls. That's dedication! There is always next year.

PS We are loving our Cape Adventure.
