Go straight to Caselmain Jail , its up for sale if you got the cash ,, & its open for viewing next Saturday could be a really interesting day trip . What better way to entertain the family than wondering around the old place . The cells , , excercise yard ,  ,high walls  , its all there .
l am going to pop in & have a peep as its something you hope to do & not stay to long . Could be a good day out or in as the case may be . l will post up the open times when l get them

Set it up with some Solar power, wired up with 6 B&S of course, a nice little farm and home brewing with a distillery for your spirits.

Arrr yes Her Majesty's Time shair . You can never get it out of your system even if you do get out of the system . l have heard they do a wicked pepper steak on Thursday night & they even turn the lights off for you at night

They are both spelt either way in Australia as both words are used in our language. Normaly it is a word used in two different ways,
In the courts it is favoured to be JAIL eg; "I sentence you to 10 years JAIL to be served in XXX GOAL.
Prisons used to be named GAOL which is pronononced GOAL eg Long Bay GAOL.
JAIL and GAOL are originaly from French words jaiole and gayole.

Jail = American term - & maybe other countries as well, but not the proper Aussie spelling eg: color is often used here in Aus now, but our way is colour.

Penitentiary = American term (though slowly also being adopted here 

Correctional Facility = touchy feely term 

Remand Centre = a place you go until you're sentenced, at which time you're sent to Gaol.
Usually found inside the grounds of a Gaol, but not always

Detention Centre = similar to a Remand Centre, but mainly meant for processing eg: boat people.
