Times are a Changing

Well, after 24yrs, the day has come for me to walk away from the Motor Trade (Mech) & do something different. Some Swaggers know what's been going on lately & the support & wishes I have received has been great, thanks all.  :cup:So come Monday I will start a new job in a new industry (Horse Racing),as a Mech /Ground Staff, one that doesn't involve cars but still as a Mech with a lot of variety & very little customer contact . I will have a heap to learn fast but that's OK, I think I'll cope.
While the trade has been good over the years the time has come to change, simple as that. I can't think of anything that would make me stay & no point staying where you don't want to be . The new job will be better hours for the family, especially afternoons & a bit more flexible. With some luck , I should end up with more time for camping, fishing 4wding w/ends. Can't be a bad thing eh!!

As a self employed chippy I feel ur pain. I too am looking elswhere for work.  It seems the govt of this country is happy to watch the big companies grow and the little ones die.  I am also over working with/for people, so many unrealistic expectations (thanks reality tv!)

I am sure that with the new direction in your life will come renewed vigour and life!

I also did a change many years ago and never regretted it, its like a new lease of life and its good to shed the old one.  Congratulations and enjoy.
