extra free from c%&p channels! ;D  good if your in a group, you can find a free one more easily.

I have a 40 channel also.

Im not rushing in to replace it at the present time, maybe sometime in the next few years.

However, I have been told that there may be some distortion evident when listing on a 40ch to an 80 ch transmission.

more chance of getting a channel without 20984203498 other people on it for starters.

you wont have to update your radio when they can 40 channels in few years time.

still not enough reason to update yet.

time

I have a GME 80, no problems communicating with 40 radios.

As mentioned above the advantage, if speaking to another 80 channel, is the extra quite channels.

Also, I sold my old 40 channel GME for a very good price, wont be able to do that in a few years.

IM just curious as my 40ch has the ability to become an 80ch.

where i am we are lucky to get anything on the radio at the best of times.

ok, might leave it for a bit.

Cheers Guys!!

Good reason to check out the cost and do it sooner rather than later.
