I've been a subscribers for almost 10 years I think, and have really enjoyed the DVDs. I haven't had an opportunity to look at any for quite a few months, so was annoyed when, on a long internal flight across China, I had to watch some prat from EMG give me the hard sell on half a dozen products. I don't have a problem with advertising or sponsorship, I understand how necessary it is in publishing, but that HSN approach just sh1ts me.

Come on EMG, don't ruin a good product. And whilst I'm having a ewhinge how about a new article in CTT, just one. It seems to be the saem photos, same stories and more annoyingly the same camper brands every month. It takes me less than 10 minutes to read the mag now.

Long time subscriber - enthusiast - some time contributer - many times a supporter/defender - not happy.

Yeah, Love the DVD's but seem to be more and more ads and less footage. Still good value IMHO though.
CTT, Im thinking of cancelling my sub. to it and taking up the Action Adventure mag. seeing as I like fishing, bike riding, 4wding and camping. Its quite a boring mag now.

In my opinion the gap between CTT and CTA is widening by the issue.

They've spread themselves too thin with all the various titles, they just can't sustain enough variety across them all

Unsubscribed a while ago because of the same reasons.  Every thing is repeated.

I used to subscribe to 4wd action as well Ctt.  But when they stop doing reviews about products or camper trailers that runs ads in there mag in fear they may upset someone. Thats when i said no more to the BS they publish. So when they start being honest with the readers again that's when I will start buying it again.

Agreed.

I think Overlander is the only title that has gotten better.  The rest are getting worse by the issue.  A real shame.  Also considering not renewing as I don't like reading the same article across 3-4 different magazines.

I've probably got at least 6 months, used to finish all 3 subs each month but busier now.

I really enjoy reading CTA, good articles, excellent contributors.

The really annoying thing about the DVDs is that on most if not all of them now it seems you cans even fast forward through the adds.

One issue of a few months ago was a 220 page ad for GIC. Every damn article featured one. >:(

Going to hunt down CTA now.
I got a sweater for Xmas, really wanted a moaner or screamer.

I subscribed for two years about four years ago.  In the last six months of my subscription I was just chucking them straight in the bin without opening.  They were great at first and then seemed to change into a cynical money making excercise within a couple of months.  This was when they were expanding rapidly to other magazines etc.
