Departure angle opinions wanted

What Degree does everyone think is an okay compromise/minimum for departure and approach angles.
I'm going to start mods to our camper and want to try get it right first time, as this is my first time  ;D
I can get up to 30 Degrees maybe a few more with a lot of cutting and welding,,,,is this enough for most tracks. My tow car is GQ  :cheers:

I presume you mean the rear departure angle of the trailer??

Havnt measured ours exactly, but just eyeballing it, I would say its less than 30 degrees.  Ok for most tracks, perhaps not for Gunshot on the road to the cape!!

A bit more info/pics may get more responses.

The departure angle is one thing, another is overhang and then drawbar length and ramp over clearance, all of which combines to affect where you can drag it without scraping.

draw bar length (and ramp over) is probably more important than the rear departure angle

Its one of these but doesn't have the factory toolboxes under the guards. the off the shelf tool boxes will hang 100mm below the chassis line but still be about 40mm above the water tank, though this finishes futher forward of the rear so as to still be within the 30 degree departure angle. And the boxes will have 550mm of ground clearance with 33s @ 150mm of guard clearance/and suspension travel. At the moment it has 14" trailer wheels, a solid axle and slippers, I'm going independent with air bags so i can drop it when set up so the tent still reaches the ground.
As for draw bar, I want to lengthen it so as to put a front box for gen/fridge and jerries on top, tyre in front of box. Mine has nothing on the draw bar as it sits.
