Guys I'm after some photo's of after market flares (Not GXL I am aware of them) fitted to 80 Series Landcruiser's. I am looking for some for my 80 series DX.

I am aware that bush ranger have some flexible rubber ones (haven't seen many on an 80) and I have seen a few cruisers getting around with some slim fibreglass ones but I don't know who does them.

I reckon the tyres stick out of the guards a bit much and a set of flares would look better. (see pic)

My old middy had fibreglass ones. Original Toyota ones were ridiculously priced and TJM used to do good copies at less than half the price of original. They do look better than the rubber but are more prone to cracking easily.

Thanks Nomad, I have seen some small fibreglass ones (smaller than GXL) that looked good but don't know who does them. Thanks for the info.

Jason, I've got an old suit here somewhere I got for a fancy dress party, but I don't understand how that will help. ;D ;D

Try Bushranger, I think they used to do what you are looking for.

Here's mine. It was a hard decision as there are about 10 different companies and 20 different varieties of flares for jeep wranglers.

Sorry i can't be of much help for your landcruiser. They don't make many accessories for Toyotas when compared to jeeps  ;)

cheers

Jason....I have TJM fibreglass/gel coated flares fitted to my Triton.
I reckon they would be considered "slimline" compared to the factory Toyota ones.

I think from memory they are made to be a fairly universal fit for majority of vehicles  ???  See how you go anyway

Hey Jason

I've got a pair of GXL rear flares here you could have for nix, if you wanted them. Came of my old girl when we chopped it inti an extra cab. Would need a bit of paint and a tidy up of the stone chips, but other than that they are good.

Shoot me a pm if interested.
