Hey Guys,

Mods: I figured this was of enough interest to warrant not being on the showroom floor, but if you disagree please feel free to move it...

I just wanted to let everyone know that CTA finally has a website:
http://www.campertraileraustralia.com.au/

We would love to hear your feedback! It is brand new and still *kind of* in development, so any advice can definitely be taken on board. You'll notice it doesn't have a forum 'cause we figured you MySwaggers were doing a good enough job of that already  :D

Cheers,

If you are chasing people to submit travel stories etc, then it may pay to have some information on the site for their benefit.

Other than that I think it is really good.  In a lot of respects, less is more - in that a lot of websites are crammed full of crap and you can never find what you are after.  I like the fact that it is simple but still has the necessary information required.

I agree with the KISS way of doing things  8) Looks good Claire. I particularly like the wallpaper download section, though I'm hoping we'll have some great shots of our own to use very shortly ;)

Looks good Claire. Agree with other comments on keeping it simple.
I really like the inclusion of videos, I think it gives the website a point of difference to the magazine. Maybe consider some different content to the mag, or even expanding upon articles that have been covered in the print version. I realise it isn't meant as a digital copy of the mag, but to keep interest up it needs to contain more than just articles from the magazine.
Just my thoughts.
Congrats on the website, look forward to seeing more of it.

Awesome, thanks for your comments guys.

Chris - I definitely agree about having info on there for contributors, it is something I hadn't even thought of.

Matt - I agree, I would like to get a commenting feature on the site so that we can have discussion in relation to individual articles, which is something that it is very difficult to do with the magazine!

Keep the feedback coming!

Hi Claire

As you are aware I am leading another group to the Cape this year, 27 cars, yes I am crazy and just wondering that you would be happy to have another magazine article written.

Mark

Ps the website looks great.

You may already have this covered, but not sure if there will be an area or some sections that existing CTA subscribers could go to get more content (in line with what is in the magazine) which would also promote subscribing.

(eg a special area for existing subscribers that would be authenticated with a membership number or similar).

Webiste looks good - just downloaded the wallpaper!

That is what your Facebook page should be for, very under used resource by you guys.

The site is nice enough now it just needs regular content updates to keep people coming back

Sawed-Off

Nice site. I like it.

In this day and age a well run Facebook page by a company is an invaluable tool to be able to connect directly with their audience. Regular updates, constant content feed by them and their audience etc.

Facebook isn't the devil, just put in as much info as you need to make an account and keep it private. It can be a great tool for keeping up to date on a lot of things.

And no I'm not 16, but I do understand how powerful social media can be

Hey! I totally sent those books out!

Will resend tomorrow - am heading to the post office with a few other bits. Will throw in something else for your long wait.

Postman Pat is obviously enjoying the book and stubby coolers meant for you and the boys!

Got a little freaked out today So I'm reading the current issue of CTA, and get to the news and letters section at the back. Nup, didn't spot the Paveys, so no tyre deflator for me; nor did I find one of my bright ideas in there (unfortunately most of my bright ideas start as someone else's ;D) Anyway, I'm reading thru the readers letters, and one of them is starting to sound familiar....very familiar!    That letter was written by me!......but I didn't write a letter to CTA. So how did i recognise it?Cos it was a quote from a post in this thread on MySwag!!! Again And they even acknowledge it is from here.

Above is the quote from me from 2 months ago, and published in this months CTA. If you have a copy, have a look, almost word for word with an edit here and there.
But.....and here is the pissa......it is marked as LETTER OF THE MONTH :cup: Oh yeah, I rock

It doesn't really bother me, just find it all a bit strange! Correspondence must have been really slow this month!!!!

Cheers
Matt

Btw, any mods reading this, can i get a scrolling banner similar to photo of the month winner, but one that says "CTA Letter of the Month Winner"

Australia Post must be real slow as I haven't yet received anything......or they like the look of the books themselves that much that they didn't pass them on.

Website is great by the way!
