For 100K I can get a Kedron or any number of heavy duty, full size, true offroad vans.

full size is no good for exploration- smaller has more chance of getting up the cape etc.

I'm not saying comfort and a large van is not good- but others are chasing something different- look at the explosion in hybrids.
