I stumbled across this article tonight.
Toyota Landcruiser Dual Cab out of the factory.
They should fill a definite gap in the dual cab market.
IMO the currently available dual cabs are all a bit soft.
I looked at converting a 76series wagon a couple of years ago, was just to expensive to do IMO.
Will be interesting to see how they are priced and if they extend the chassis 500-600 mm.
Will definitely be worth a look.

That will put the cat amongst the pigeons for sure. One can imagine it won't be cheap though, as Toyota won't want to canabilise HiLux sales and mining companies have deep pockets.

I have always wanted a full size 4WD Dual cab.
If they have made the front and rear track the same it might tempt me to replace the Patrol sooner rather than later.

problem with the extendeds is the rampover angle,... you couldnt go over many humps in high country without bellying out.

susposed to be based on the 79 series wheel base- don't hear many problems with there wheel base in the high country- be around 300m shorter than that pictured- but that will have a limiting effect on the tray length

I love their thinking.

"we'll make a vehicle the market has been asking for and then stick massive protruding bumpers and dress it up with a lovely vomit green paint job with the leftover stickers from the 70s"

Isnt that one an aftermarket conversion in dubai. Ugly enough to make a bottle of medicine sick.

Yeah, apparently so. Just some dodgy conversion in Dubai

Wouldnt want to put too much weight on that towbar! Front wheels would be in mid air!

Oooee......ouch!!!

That gives me an eye ache just looking at it.

I don't think Toyota would produce anything that gross. It's like the perfect gift for the Mother-in-Law.

Toyota have plenty of fugly stickers. Most Cruisers and Prados in China are algae green with those crap decals down each side.

I heard this dual cab rumour about 4 weeks ago. Also possibly a diesel Rav 4.
