Whats your budget? $500 - $4000? Just be sitting down when you get some prices like Blackwidow etc.

What sort do you want?

What requirements, fridge slide, draws etc?

I have the Black Widdow draws.

Solid as a rock. Cant fault them so far in build quality. Easy to fit (dont listen to the ARB guys tell you that its a complicated job)

BUT they are bloody heavy, they add plenty of weight over the back axel (even before you fill them up!)

The next set I will look for something lighter or make my own.

I would have thought you would get the outback drawers without a fridge slide for close to 1500. The outback drawers have a gap between the top of the drawer and the bottom of the shelf, which means you can't jam your fingers or your kids finger in them when closing. The black widow drawers, apart from being more expensive have sharp metal edges on the bottom of the shelf, which if little fingers got jammed up against could create problems.

On the other hand the black widow drawers can be moved from vehicle to vehicle with only the side skirts needing changing so therefore they are/could be a one off purchase that you move into your next vehicle. They are also I think (quite happy to be corrected here) the only drawers that are ADR crash test approoved! The black widow drawers are slightly smaller than the outback drawers I have in my 120 series prado.

I've had two sets of Outback Interior Drawers, 1 in a Patrol, 1 in a Cruiser.  Very happy with both sets.

See the handle on the end of the frig slide, just for laughs try putting your fingers in the handle and then sharply opening the bottom draw...I can tell you now it is no laughing matter...both myself and partner have done it and we suffered loss of skin and bruising.  :'(

Other than that they great draws and wouldn't travel without them. :cup:

I think the Black Widdow were about $2100???? with fridge slide.

When I got mine the Outback ones were the same price (these were the ones I was going to get) But the ARB sales guy said that everyone uses the Black Widdow now. I suspect now they had a bigger margin to play with!

Drifta make drawer systems for your car back. I've ordered a set for the FJ and they're going to cost me about $1500.

3. Sopent ten minutes in tjm before WE approached the counter, arb virtually met us at the front door as we entered.

vey happy with them no crushed fingers, fridge slide is great and best of all flat floor when fridge is removed

Just some guy

Have a look at the second hand market too. It took me about 6 weeks of patience but i picked up a set for $330.00 off ebay.

I think you are a bit but we all do, its called being ripped off when you look how basic some of them REALLY are... Fridge slides are $200 alone. Many of the storage units are $1800 and up - no I couldnt make it as good myself, but doesnt mean Im rich either..

Search the forum for some photos and plans, and make your own for very little.

Also if your not tall, look at 2 draws on top of each other on one side, and fridge on the deck to make it easy to get into for BOTH people....

For that price I'd def talk to Jamie or Graham at Offroad Systems. Very helpful and price is good too. Got my 120 prado done there and  am very happy. They have many configurations and also do gal or alloy depending on how much I want to spend. Also fridge slides and cargo barriers , water tank and even rear door awnings as well. Top notch work.

I will say he is a friend of mine. But there are a lot of people who stand by his product. I have never seen them in the flesh so I can't comment on them. But from what I have read they are on the money.

I like fourby fitouts for the fact they can be removed so easily. Drawers are heavy and whilst incredibly useful when traveling they're just costing you money in fuel at other times.

I feel I need a set in my job, as I'm always carrying gear in the back of the Cruiser; tools, fittings, etc.
