Rear wheel bin/bag and seat organiser

Hey swaggers ,

looking to buy a rear wheel bag/bin for cape trip ,looking at MSA products. and black widow (not real keen on thier stuff) any recomendations or referrals to someone on here who sells this kind of gear.

Hey Jet we had a MSA rear wheel bin for our last Cape Trip.  It sat well, handled all the rubbish and weight. Had to adjust it a couple of times, as it had slipped down the wheel.

We have a cheapy, $20 from Super cheap.  Not the fanciest but seems very sturdy.  Carted a lot of our rubbish and dirty clothes all through the Simpson and back with no dramas.  Last thread on this topic though seemed as though it was hard to find them in stock

we have an EMG rear bag/bin.............its ok, but gets in the way all the time, the straps are fairly 2nd rate

Myself and many others on here I know use the bushranger wheel bin. Holds plenty of cans and well made. Easy to clean as well
Can pick them up from ARB for around the $90 mark from memory.

I have an MSA which has seen much use with nothing wrong besides a little canvas fading. I think they have changed material used. I highly recommend all MSA products, very well made.

MSA bag for me, works well, a bit of silicon spray on the zipper occasionally as the dust can be a pain.

we have 2  of the black widow bags only used twice the only thing i found wrong was the strap they provided wouldnt  go around the wheel so just used a bigger ockie strap now. THe bag also has a hole in the bottom so it doesnt hold the water.  :

stock is better now in store.. about$30-$35 now.. still worth it - great little product. travels on all our major trips

MSA here and no problems, as mentioned before bit of easyglide on the zip now and again

We have an MSA bag for rubbish and wet clothes on the car, and an Infront Camping Gear (The one smaller than the Maxi bag) one on the camper which permantely carries the CGear Matting and the Shower tent and the crab pots (well before the dog decided to eat through the netting to eat the bait one day )

Highly recommend both bags - only thing with the Infront bag was the original straps werent UV safe and snapped with all our gear in it still - luckily 1 strap was still holding on by a thread. Have since put new UV stabalised Seatbelt straps and its good as gold. And our MSA bag has also faded but no biggie - what doesn't fade in the WA sun?

We've got the Supercheap one - $40 RRP. I like it, it's reasonably well made (as far as I can tell, haven't used it properly yet), made out of PVC, . Not sure what more there is to say about it. It's got a hole in the bottom, and the bottom can unzip to dump all your rubbish out when you get home. I can see the bottom zips getting gummed up and stuck pretty easily though, so doubt that we'd ever actually use it that way.

I was originally looking at the canvas ones, but:
a) didn't know how the canvas would go - if a bin bag leaked bin juice on the inside, would it stain/smell/get gross? PVC doesn't have that problem.
b) wasn't keen on the price. With this one, if I get a year or two out of it and throw it away then it's not going to break the bank to buy a new one.

Obvious downside to the Supercheap one - it's got bright orange piping around it.

Take it for a drive in the dust, the orange disappears very quickly...

I have the Bushranger and as BD said the sit well and never slip as welll as being easy to clean. Its done countless km so far and lies on the spare wheel all the time.
And is adjustable for different size tyres.

I 've got one and I think its great. Straps are really long though...

Infront has a special on at the moment I picked up a spare wheel cover and rubbish bag for $125.Great piece of gear with a velcro sealed pocket on both the cover and bag.

Which ever one you get make sure that it has a big chunky zip.
The dust makes the small zips impossible to open and close.
I have one, from Infront, with a small zip and it is here for anyone who would like it!!!

I bought an MSA bag on weekend, but cant for the life of me figure out how to fit it. The over top straps are ok, but seem to have about 400ft of extra length on them.. WTF?. Are they designed to fit on to a 53inch Baja Claw too?

Theres a small strap in the middle that goes side to side, with 2 eyelets on it, which is attached 1 end to the bag (drivers side), and the other attached to nothing! Where the fawk does it go?? how do you attach it? What do you attach it to? I want my mummy....

Anyone got fotos of theirs fitted up??

Recently purchased a black widow wheel bag, hasn't been out yet. Also looked at seat organizers, thought that the MSA one was the best. Got a good deal at TJM coopers plains along with some outback ideas recovery points. Bag was $85. Cheers

I have two, a MSA for the rear of the vehicle and a Infront camping one for the front of the camper. Both good bags but  I find the MSA one to small for rubbish so use it for dirty clothes etc.
And yes, you seem to have ALOT of strap left over after fitting.
Also, keep an eye on strap on the MSA bags, my mate lost his off his spare wheel coming out of Cape Melville last year. I add a couple of zippy ties to pull the straps in tighter.

I had one on my old camper the same as Mattos and found it was great for shoving the dirty wet ground sheets in.

and dont worry about the orange piping.. abit of dust and you cant tell the difference

Another vote for the MSA dirty gear bag, I must remember to put some silicon spray on the zip as its starting to stick, thanks for the reminder guys.
