What do you do with the old cartridges? The single use, non refillable type? As they're non- refillable there must be somewhere we can recycle them?
Cheers, John.

I sorta figured that's the response I'd get. Makes them not a very "green" method of cooking though  :-[

yeah, we just throw ours in the bin... not much choice really (that I am aware of), if there is another option I would love to hear about it...

I know a certain person that saves them for around the camp fire. While I don't condone that sort of behavior  it sure is ;D fun.

But we also throw them away. I wonder if they can be recycled though ???

If it has one of those triangle recycle symbols it should go in the recycle bin. Should be punctured, from memory, so there is no chance of fire / explosion when compacted, though I think most are punctured when attached to the burner.

The manufacturer should have a contact number on the cartridge ... call them and ask.  Or contact your local gas dealer (Kleenheat to name one I can think of) and ask them what the correct diposal procedure is.

I would like to be able to recycle them at 50 yards with a small centrefire but Mr Bryant and then Mr Howard knocked that one on the head.

Was still a fun way of destroying my dads empty VB cans in the late 70's ;D
I got a sweater for Xmas, really wanted a moaner or screamer.
