Lifted from another forum but modified for my Myswag buddies.

Well after reading the thread by Mace on Myswag 2011 Awards I thought I would throw this up.
This intends to take the mickey out of some people in a tongue in cheek sort of way and hopefully no one gets upset.

So the questions is – How many forum members does it take to change a light bulb
Answers:
1 to change the light bulb and 1 to post that the light bulb has been
changed

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs

27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light
bulbs

53 to flame the spell checkers

41 to correct spelling/grammar flames

A few forum members who attend a 2011 Myswag national gathering and after an exhausting weekend of activities, dinners, BBQ's and After-parties, someone ask the question " When is  Myswag 2012".... less than 24 hours after the event finishes.

1 member to add his comments on changing light bulbs in his first post

100 members to comment on the Chinese brand of light bulbs and how that is all they can afford and another 150 members to champion the quality of Aussie light bulbs and how they have better resale value. This discussion goes on for months and goes nowhere.

3 to discuss whether the 'bubble has burst' on the aussie bulb market.

3 members to post a question in the wrong area and ask "how do I post photos of light bulbs?"

121 members to type x2 whenever there is a serious discussion on light bulbs

6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb"
........ another 6 to condemn those 6 as anal-retentive

79 members to start a new post on what size solar panel to power my light bulb.

Another 38 members to say wire your light bulb in 6B&S

Then another 15 members to say will my DC-DC charger illuminate my light bulb.

6 members to whinge that their light bulb bought from a retailer in Sydney on ebay is not the advertised wattage

29 members to post a link from ebay saying what do you think of this light bulb

53 members to show how they wired their light bulb then 13 members to point out that they shouldn't have the circuit breaker and battery in the same non-vented enclosure.

1 forum member to take his bat and ball and go home when he considers his reports on light bulbs are over moderated.

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"

1 member who hasn't used his light bulb in 16 months

3 new members asking how to load photos of light bulbs for their avatars

15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light
bulb" is perfectly correct

306 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to
buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this
technique and what brands are faulty

33 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all
headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

19 to quote the "x2's" to say "x3"

12 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

628 new members to join, post up a for sale ad for their light bulb then disappear never to be heard from again

Well folks that is all I have so if someone else has some to add then please do. Please remember it is meant to be light hearted and hopefully everyone can see the funny side

Merry Christmas to all members and their loved ones and hopefully you all may it through the festive season relatively unscathed.

Hi,
  Love it.
I do appreciate the humour on this forum, the Mrs often looks at me with a worried expression on her face as I chortle over some of the musings on here.

It looks like the original thread got deleted with the forum cleanup.  I reckon it was funnier when I posted it up - here
