A neighbour just told me a friend of his who recently toured NT and WA was refused entry to some National Parks because he did not have 4WD on his VW dual cab .. Reason given was the inability of a 2WD to get out of bulldust holes ??
Does that sound right or just another misadventure myth ??

It certainly is the case on some roads in some seasons that they are open to 4x4 only.

All national parks should be like that - spend the road making money on policing the tools ;D

You hear of road trains getting dry bogged. I have also been through a bull dust hole that bent the drawbar on a mates Campomatic wouldn't be good in a soft roader.
