But I find his trip reports to be a great read, and very informative with a great sense of humour.

Never judge a book by it's cover. I met Darren last weekend and I can say it's not so much charm but more charisma. It is a huge loss that he is not posting at the moment but he is still lerking the myswag pages. Lovely bloke and lovely family. I dare say he will add a post here and there when required but I think the days of him being a participating member are gone. It is a shame but life takes funny road for all of us in different ways.

'Totally agree Paul, my replys are just TIC, even though I have not met him I had heaps of respect for him, it was easy to see that his responses come from his personal experience and not from books
Hope he does start posting again but somehow dont think that will happen soon

We met Darren for the first time last weekend too. I found him to be someone with loads of knowledge on loads of topics but most importantly he was willing to share that knowledge with those keen to learn - something we're always grateful for.
