RIP Dan,

Your skills will be sadly missed.

Dan was due to race at the Indy next week along side James Courtney in the V8s until todays fatal accident. Australian Will Power was also injured in the 15 car pile up. The video footage is from Dans car seconds before he was killed.

Pretty bad stuff. We all love motor racing and when things like this happen it reinforces how dangerous it also can be. Everytime a driver pulls a helmet on there is always a risk, it's just tragic when a life is lost.

He died doing what he loved. I guess that is some small consulation. RIP Dan.

I felt ill watching that crash.

I was really looking forward to the Indycar boys and other internationals racing on the Gold Coast this weekend.
