Really? You're surprised that Ch9's coverage is poor?

3 dedicated sports channels in HD is hardly crap. World Cup without commercials in game time, HD and with commentators who know the game ... I'm happy to pay the money!

Is it the game where they put their fingers up each others....... Ahh.... Doesn't matter.

I agree, Channel 9s coverage of the RWC is pathetic. the commentary is below standard and the scheduling of the non-Aussie games is impossible.

By chance, a bloke turned up at our door last week, offering Foxtel at a discount of $99 for two months, so I jumped on it.

That said, I cancelled Foxtel 10 years ago because there was plenty of channels of nothing, and that still seems to be the case.We won't be extending our subscription.

Rugby is the thinking mans game, and Rugby league is the blue collar game.

I love league because it's a faster game without so many stops in play.

At the end of the day however they both feature forwards who aren't real bright but they can lift heavy things.

Dad is a off work at present (having surgery) so to stop him driving the whole family crazy we are having foxtel hooked up.

$50.00 per month so $600 for the year , inc install. for a heap of chanels plus the sports pack thrown in as well.

I think it's a great deal and he cant wait it goes in on monday.

I agree that free to air coverage of sport is on the decline.

I had to get foxtel because of all the sport on free to air. I would rather sit in a refrigerator and flick my testicles than watch sport on TV, scrape by eyes out with a HIV infected spoon.

Ladies beach volley ball goes alright. (one exception).  8)

It is a tactical game where you only need to understand that one man is trying to push two mens heads up three mens a******es.

Why anyone would pay money to watch a group of supposedly men chase a bag of wind up and down a paddock is beyond comprehension , whats more is its billed as the "World Cup" when 98% of the worlds countries do not participate.

GOLDIE

 If they are good enough they make it. I love my foxtel, Just for the Rugby league.

Funny that.  We have Austar and the only free to air that we ever see is sbs or abc.

Discovery channel, history channel, sport, lifestyle, Aurora.

Heres some of whats on austar atm;

Series link to record what you want and watch later.

Dont think I could ever go back.

Oh, and no Eddie, no Karl or Koshi.....bloody brilliant.
My alternative to cheap import trailers;

OK the tribe has spoken and I must accept that I am a tightar$e whinger :-[, who believes the ARU had their eye off the ball when they allowed the channel nine stooges get the contract to televise the event.

No, I am with you. I have relented and picked up Foxtel so I can watch it. I was just looking and see Ch9 is not even playing tonight's game live. They're showing the rugby league semi's instead, and the rugby on delay. That is a disgrace. They have two other digital channels they could use for either code.

League vs union... League will always win hands down with the ratings

This argument will never be won.  Toyota/ Nissan.    Waeco/Engel.    League / Union/ cross country ballet.  All the same.
MK Triton Dual Cab.
Cheap gal trailer with some stuff added.
