It seems Gerry Harvey has finally realised that many people like to buy online.
Waeco 39L Waeco fridge is advertised at $550 plus $7.45 postage.
Is that a good price if you need one?

But it doesn't stop him whinging about it every chance he gets, I'm almost at the point now where I won't go into a HN store because of his never ending carry on.

I'm sick of hearing him winge as well. He's worth over 1.6 Billion dollars and still carries on about how he's doing it tough because everyones buying oversea's and not paying GST. I don't mind people making lots of money and have a lot of respect for guys like Dick Smith who put a lot back into the community.

No, I mean they are working hard to build it. They're investing heavily.

Online presents challenges for franchised business models, as each small operator thinks you're taking business that would otherwise walk into their store.

That's because you are

I am beginning to like the Supercheap model. Have some brands with diverse/similar products and also run online with the same deals as the stores. Their sites are essentially the same just skinned differently for each brand. Same warehousing, distribution, logistics etc. You get 3 brands for the price of one.
