Anyone received the latest edition of Camper Trailer Australia mag? It usually arrives around the 27th and haven't received anything this month yet?

Hopefully the bloody postie hasn't pinched it  ???

Cheers, Sam.

@fnq4now

Havn't been able to find it in the local shops either  >:(

Thanks Mallory, when did it arrive? Might have to give them a call if it's not there tonight.

Cheers, Sam.

The cook picked up a copy today from our local newsagent interesting read.

Seems like if you subscribe, you get it later than buying it from the newsagents  ???

Warning: it contains a depressing article about one million (!) potential grey nomads getting out there on the road as the baby boomer generation retires.
Fair dinkum, I had to have a drink just thinking about it!
Better get cracking while the boomers are deciding which $45,000 camper trailer to buy.

I'll have to check the issue number, but I always get both the camper trailer and 4WD action quite a few weeks before the newsagent gets it.
personally there's a few too many ads in there but I do like the DVD's, they are very qood quality productions for the past year

WooHoo. About time. Disappointing not to get it before shops considering that's supposed to be one if the benefits of subscription.

My 2 cents ...

I got my CTA yesterday from the Newsagent.  I did put in for a subscription but they must run the run the place badly as I did receive an email a month ago to say "we've banked your money" but nothing since ... Not even a Thank You.  No magazine to date either.  I did get my first CTT weeks before it was available in the shops which was wonderful ... the reason you subscribe I say.

I will agree that these magazines do need quite a few more travel articles (to places that haven't been done to death) to keep my interest.  It's a big country ... there has to be more than the "usual" travel destinations they can write about ... I do love the reader articles, letters, modifications and ideas - think these are brilliant.

For the 12 months of my subscription it always turned up before it was in the newsagents. Got mine today (sub has run out).
Nice to see BJ4408's Shuttle get a write up, Its something different to the trailer with a tent most of us own.  :cup:

Got mine from the Newsagency today, have not opened it though.

Must admit I was a little critical when I started reading this mag when it first came out. Not really interested in the camper reviews however I understand that this funds the mag , but the touring articles have really picked up.

Also love Carlisle's articles, and the way he strings a sentence together. Occasionally over laden with over expression but I am not one to inordinately judge the excessive exuberance of superlatives.

My wife, Sam, also loves the mag and reads from cover to cover, so this helps justify my purchase.

X2, Carlisle's writing style is very refreshing in this genre. Far to many articles and stories have the same feel and could have easily been written by the same person.

I actually enjoy the camper reviews. It's nice to see what's out there available. As long as there're no more bloody GIC reviews for a while, I'll be happy. I'm sure they're a good value unit but they need to look up the word 'overexposure' over their at GIC land.

I have to say, despite this months edition being late (compared to the news agencies), CTA is currently my favourite of the mags. If Overlander start doing DVD's of their own on some of the later model vehicles instead of just rebranding the 4wd Action DVDs (Hello, 4wd Action, we've already seen them all!!!) I may change my mind. For the moment though CTA is the best overall read IMHO.

Cheers, Sam.

I too agree on this count.  He sure can make you feel something you never thought you would.  A wordsmith if ever I read one.

We too like the CTA mag so far so good has been an interesting read we have only recently started buying it.
I have let my 4wd action subscription run out got sick of all the adds and flogging of GIC trailers although I did enjoy the DVD's but even the adds on them are increasing their sister mag Camper trailer touring is in a similar boat tooooooo many adds bugger all articles.

Mallory Black

OK I can stop scratching my head, I get the Camper Trailer "Touring" mag, it's from EMG (Roothy, Graham etc)  yours is from ACP
EMG's subscription service must be lots better than ACP's by the look of it.
