It seems we have a lot of talented and inventive people on this forum so it would be great if we had a "What have you made" section !!! Just a thought ...

A second battery tray and heat shield for the Cruiser.

I had the Battery, the bits and Bullfrog had the time and wire, electricity thingys.   Mate  ;D
Saved myself some 400 odd bucks.
Tray made from an external door slider track, Conveyor belt for the battery to sit on, 19x19mm box tubing, three bolts, 20x6mm pop reverts, 600mmx8mm threaded rod and two nylock nuts, two pieces of polished alloy sheeting for the heat shield, 19x19mm alloy angle for the cnr of the shield, and I had the terminal clamps.
Works a treat.

Hi,
The landy came with out a tray or a place to store the spare tyre.

I managed to scrounge a second hand tray, but still needed some where to put the tyre, it was a pain on the tray, and I thought I could get it underneath.

There is a fair amount of space under there once the tray is removed.

I had some spare RHS, so I welded up this

to fit existing bolt holes in the chassis.

A bit of spare ply cut in a circle sorted out the hold-down side of things

The whole caboodle ended up quite satisfactorily.

cheers

Made a frame for the stone deflector today.
Had an Aluminum fly screen laying under the house from 15 odd years ago, cut it down to size 1960x500mm, some old tent poles, a couple of pop reverts, metal tech screws, welded a bracket to the A frame for a support. I'll get some shade cloth tomorrow from the shed. Zip tie it to the frame, and the jobs done.
Gotta be happy with that.

Pizza oven.    Bit big to take away camping though.

Uses a old 4 burner bbq for the heat. Made from 3mm stainless double skinned (insulated with rockwool).

Hardest part so far is trying to get dough right for pizza.

Thanks Austastar, Hairs  and Goody59.

Ive made it over the last few weeks supposedly for my daughters 21st, but thankfully wev'e talked her out of it.
Havent had a chance to realy test it out but last week cooked up garlic bread and Pides and it went well. Was supposed to be pizza dough but it failed!!

Sits at about 320 C with 4 burners going. just now have to polish up stainless and powdercoat the BBQ part.
Made for all up cost so far of $0.

Great looking pizza oven. We cook pizzas in our hooded BBQ, just added a sandstone paver from the local nursery. Only downside is I can only cook one at a time.

Thats sort of what I used for the "Fire Bricks" inside. I used industrial floor tiles, they are about 20mm thick, BBQ galore wanted $10 ea for real fire bricks and I needed 20 of them.
The stone on base came with my Mums new oven and they never eat pizza.

I made a son about 24 years ago, who managed to burn up about 100 gig of bandwidth in a few days after he cam back from England... so now the internet is shaped for a few weeks, most annoying.

I  made a basket out of steel that fits in the jerry can holders to carry firewood.  The first version I made out of 3/8 rod and weld mesh I had laying around.  Worked out OK but I am working on the mark 2 version using smaller mesh.

GAL EXTREME OFF ROAD MODEL.

Laundry trolley, had you all excited there I bet.

Stats:- 20 x 20 x 2 mm gal frame, chrome rack, 11 x 2.5 Chinese no name grass rated tyres, armstrong brakes, two wheels only so it can't be used for a go kart by 7 yo son.

Oh, and that's the rig in the background.

Not a big budget project but at least I got to play in the shed for the weekend, and got a new Bosch blue grinder when the old cheap one blew to bits in my hand.  Everybody wins.
MK Triton Dual Cab.
Cheap gal trailer with some stuff added.

Mandrake

Couple of things I knocked up over the weekend --

A 4 - way 50A Anderson plug - makes it possible to join 3 or 4 batteries OR charge 3 batteries from the same Solar Regulator .. Ammeter is on the Input Anderson with the red colouring on it..

And a large stone deflector / mud flap - made from builders damp course and some aluminium strip and angle ...

Cheers

Steve

Going back to basics - sort of ...
