Can someone please tell me how to get the link to my SPOT page on into my profile or on the LHS near the messages icon?

Hi,
Suppose the link to your page is:

http://www.spotpage/member1234.htm

You will find this in the top of the address bar, when you are on that page.

Ok. when you are on that page, highlight and copy the address in the bar.

You could just paste that link into your profile, but it could be done a bit tidier.
To do that you will need a bit of code to tell the forum software that a link is about to follow, a bit of text to tell humans that this is indeed a link, and then another  bit of code to tell the forum software that the link is now finished

Now I am going to use curly braces {} so you can see them, but you will need to use square braces [] to get this to work.

cheers,

Yell if this is nonsensical.

ok cool, I'm yet to convince SWMBO that a gps (or similar is a good thing) she just thinks (insert condescending scold now) "it's just another bloody gadget for YOU (me) to PLAY with!!"

Hi,
SWMBO loves running the laptop with maps and the GPS, she gets to tell me where to go, and I just do as I'm told.
