Vehicle service in Alice Springs --- any reccommendations?

We will be in Alice Springs in a few days, and while there we need to get the Patrol serviced.
Can anyone reccommend a place to get it done?

Yrs ago Parry, it was approx 20 K's out of town, just off the road behind a clump of trees.....

. But it was just a routine oil change !!!

I know....absolutely no help to you .....but. !!!

The local Nissan dealer has a checkered reputation but if you contact Jol Flemming at Direct 4WD he will steer you in the right direction http://www.direct4wd.com.au/contact/contact.htm
Jol does 4x4 training and guided trips.

good service, log book serviceing, ownes a 4x4 and has done lots of work for my mates for many years.....

Old East Side (sadadeen) work shop in the local Mobile Service centre/pertol station

Ours is a Paj diesel and rang the Peter Kittle motor company. Done by a contractor by the look of it, round the back of the dealer. I think he does all the dealers in the block (Mitsi, Holden, Nissan, Toyota, Honda).

No issues with them, but it was just an oil change plus filter.

Thats all they are good for... and even after that, Id take the time to really check their work.... no end of greif dealing with Kittles!!!

I thought of that solution but the area is crawling with cops looking for a missing man and with my luck I would get caught and done for drunk and disorderly.
