Cub Kamparoo Brumby

Hope I am not tempting fate but the planets appeared to have aligned. Our Coromal has been sold (money about to be deposited) and we have  "purchased" (agreement to purchase) a 2011 model Cub Kamparoo Brumby that has had very little use. This what I originally wanted and the lady agrees that it is the most appropriate camper for our needs. Any Brumby owners on here with comments/advice?

I dont own a brumby but i do a bit of camping with a mate that has one , A good solid camper , Good value for a Hardfloor .
He has had no issues with it , I own a offroad Kamparoo we luv it a good bit of gear

I was at the Lismore Caravan & Camping show, I went to the Cub stand, they had a offroad Cub Brumby for about $27350, + on roads....a little bit pricey for what they are, let's face it, a beefed up Kamperoo,  I had my heart set on one about 18months ago, but after a look over and for what you get for the money including after market service...Cub were quickly scratched off my list.
Just on the off chance, I checked out another CT stand next door by the name of Modcon Campers.
After an hour with the saleswoman, going over the base model and an up market spec model...for a hardfloor camper, these are bloody good valve...this model has been on the market for about 12 months, they are an impressive rig.
I and the people I was with, went away from the briefing really impressed.
For innovation ( they set up within their own length),build quality,net carrying capacity of up to 450kg, set up and value for money for a hard floor....check them out if you can.
I don't know about the second hand market for them,

Hi,....we bought a Cub Brumby 2007 a few weeks ago....too cold  here to use yet, but have been using this site and the great ideas and info. to change and add a few things, added a water tank gauge and put some rubber mat under the water pump to lower the noise on use....we think it is going to be just want we want ...after camping out of the back of a twin-cab for 10 years !!! If it helps, we payed 17 for ours ...has a large solar panel, 2 x batteries and an extra box on the front,and has only travelled very low km's. The kitchen is smallish, and pulls out  from the box at the front, pantry pulls out from under CT. Has come with 2 gas bottles and a 2 burner stove and a dingo electric setup, and anderson plug. We like the thought of being able to get to the out of the way camping spots and as we have a Hobie yak, fisher model....2 seater..we often camp as close to water as we can.

Comments have been appreciated. Are the standard override disc brakes adequate or something worth upgrading? I am not interested in upgrading for no real advantage.

No personal experience, but all forms of over ride brakes have had poor reviews. The Kimberley's come with over ride discs, those who can have upgraded them to electric/hydraulic disc.

I agree with Jules, I have override discs on my Camper, I will be upgrading to electric brakes as soon as we can.
