Diff breathers

I think you mean diff breather extensions so that they are up nice and high in the engine bay?

I would add spare bearings and castle nuts for the trailer.

Tools should include a socket set and spanners so that you can check nuts daily.

Not that much to do to my vehicle just a few items to get. Would a small blue tarp suffice as a car bra?

Cheers Rod.... 8)

I had a silver one that worked a treat, not sure if a blue one would work though ;D

Are 2 recovery points required on the back. At the moment I only have the towbar recovery hitch. I will add a a couple of hooks to the side as well just to be sure I meet the requirements.

I used a tarp for the first two crossing and that was all good. The on the third it popped up so to speak and was doing nothing and also my light then filled with water. On the flip side I borrowed a bra (no, not the wifes) at Nolans and it did so much of a better job I would encourage you all to purchase one. They are easier to put on and they seem to do a better job creating that bow wave IMO

Yes would need a few of them for the cruiser but would not mind the models sitting on the bonnet ;D

Hey McGirr what do you usually set your tyre pressures at and where do you play with them or do you just drop them at bramwell junction and leave them till you hit the black top

Cheers Diksta

Can I still go if I don't have a Winch?

Hi mystq,

There will be dedicated recovery vehicles on the trip ( myself included) as well as the mob pulling camp trailers. A winch is only on the want list not the need list.
cheers duggie

Just Straps make the snatch strap joiners, they go in between the two linked straps and look a lot like these  ;D . We had one slip sideways during one of the recoveries last Cape Trip and it too became stuck in the knot, but most of the time them seem to work.

Note.......................the Crownie bottle cap is for size comparison only

Depending on how rough the tracks are but once on the dirt I would suggest 28 to 30 psi depending on what load you are carrying.
