portable 240V Fluro Lighting

I am after a 240v fluro light to use in caravan parks.  I have seen ones that are at least a metre long in protective plastic with a lead attached and was wondering if they are available from retail stores or do you get an electrician to make them.

Any ideas would be helpful as the minister for war and finance wants more light in the annex when we camp at CP's, and if I make her happy then camping life is easy.

She knows not what she asks , rip into the LED 12v stuff just as bright , low drag  & can be very handy in camp . Other than that Supercheap should be the go

i have a couple they are a liitle over 2 foot long with leeds and on off switches,they have covers on them and are really good light.iam going to 12volt and no longer need them.$20.00 each plus postage,

One brand is Burnbite, any electrical wholesaler ( where sparkies buy gear ) can source for you.

If you want the best get the Burnbrite ones, will last forever.  You can get them at any electrical wholesaler.

Be prepared for a shock with the price though.

Supercheap 11watt 240vc flouros are the go, switched, also with hooks for hanging them up.

Thanks hopefully that might make her happy.  I have plenty of 12 volt stuff, but she wants brighter !!, I don't have a problem with the brightness, BUT, you know!!

I have seen a good selection at BUNWAARS. and priced reasonably.

I just use one of the old 240volt work lights that take a standard globe. Cheap as chips. Just select the globe for how bright you need it.
I also run it off my 300watt inverter, it draws 2amps with a 60w energy saving globe and puts out heaps of light.

REPCO carry a range of lights both in 240 volt and rechargable led , they come with a removable sprung holder for under bonnet work.

I had a look at the local tool shop and they have those work lights that go under your bonnet for $7, just add a 100 watt globe and there should be plenty of light.  If she wants anymore i might just plug in a portable flood light!!
Men are multi talented and do our best work in the dark, women on the other hand....
