So I managed to pick up a tent of evil bay a couple of weeks ago .... i already have a trailer (part owner).. so i'm thinking now that I'll just blow the budget and get a trailer.
Getting all sorts of prices... but i'm not going to let myself to pay anything over say $2.5K for a full off-road trailer registered.

What would be the maximum you would pay?  ???

IMWO, Price would be a secondary consideration to quality.

WOW I PAID $100 FOR THIS TRAILER - then have it fall apart on the first dirt road ruining your whole trip?

I paid $3500 for this trailer, its 22yrs old, never missed a beat, just keep repainting it.

YMMV

don't forget You get what you pay for don't go to cheap you wouldn't want your first couple of trips away in your shinny new camper to be a disaster. A mate of mine got a local metal engineering joint to build his cost a little more but they built him a great trailer and how he wanted it too

X 2 . Is it the trailer you want to use or the trailer you want to sweep up off the road  ???

Guess i,m the lucky one, in some ways. i paid $3,500 for a cape york trailer, its strong and looks near bullet proof, but its the fitting out process that is the slow part, as constant 12hrs/day shift work eats into, and restricts your spare time like nothing else.

Have a good read of this, write down a list with must-haves and areas you are prepared to compromise (based on a reality-based appraisal of where you will actually take the thing) then go shopping.
