With the 4th birthday of myswag just around the corner it only seems like yesterday when I joined back in August 2007.

Well since then it has grown to be an awesome forum thats quickly approaching 7000 members!

I remember when Brett, Cam, Bushman and Teabag were going around the other forums poaching members ;D

It has certainly overshadowed some well known forums and has grown very fast over the last 2yrs in particular.

Well done Brett.

Sure is growing quick, good to see.  The more people the bigger the knowledge base and the more opportunity for people to get together and get out camping!

Just out of interest, does anyone know if members of the forum get a number when they join?  We have been members for a fair while and just wondering how many members there were when we joined.

Would be good to see more camping going on though. Perhaps it's just me, but with more than triple the members as when I joined there has not been a noticable increase in the posts about camping.

New(er) members, you don't need 500 posts to stick your hand up and organise a trip, and you'll make some of the best friends you've ever had. I know I sure did.

Cruel but true ;D

My view on camping, just go, if the weather turns, who cares, just make the best of it, remember, life to short :cup:

One of our best camping trips was at Stix River, it rained 2 out of the 3 days we were there and it was in the middle of winter, knowbody cared we just made the best of it, huge fire to keep warm, a tarp to keep dry around the fire, great conversation and excellent driving around the area, can't ask for more than that.

You sure are, and thanks for that.

Once again I encourage new members to participate actively. I am always surprised when folks introduce themselves as "having been looking on here for a year, time to say hello..". Definitely interested in feedback on why many of the new(er) members are waiting so to join up.

Well we will be camping down the Buckland valley at least one weekend per month for the rest of the year, anyone who wants to join us is welcome.  I will post up the dates in the Trips section.  Have a couple of them there already.

Says it all really....

A little deceiving...  I know lots of people went away for Easter and the school holidays but it looks as though we have been off the air for a month.  Or we offended lots of people really badly!  I guess it is just because it includes current months which are not over yet...
