Hi All,  just looking for your tyre pressure recommendations for a Jayco Camper trailer on Fraser island.  We've had 7 or 8 trips to Fraser with the fourby and depending on conditions generally run tyres around 18-20psi.  Do you need to drop the camper trailer tyre pressures to the same level?
First Fraser trip with the new Outback Hawk is booked for July!

cheers, Macca.

You need to drop them to the same footprint as your vechile, not the same pressure, lower your vechile's tyres first then measure the overall footprint then apply to camper trailer this will probably be less then whats in truck.

G'day Macca,

How good is Fraser Island, Mate you will need to drop the pressures on the Jayco as well, I believe there is no magic number for the trailer, you really want the Jayco's tyres to bag out to a similar footprint to you tow vehicle. In my experience I generally need lower pressures in the trailer that the tow rig to achieve this.

Cheers,

Disco.
