Well this morning i was at the local 12v fridge joint picking up some cable and lugs to finish my battery setup in the camper
And i s@$t you not in the 10 mins i was in there chatting to the owner, there was 1 old bloke checking in his dead waeco
when i arrived and then before i had left 2 more blokes came in with dead waeco's :cup:. Owner said its not unusual to get a couple
a day in to be fixed

Im glad i bought my engel ;D and it hasn't missed a beat in the 2 years i have abused it.

I should report this post for attempting to incite a riot, it may not be your intent but that's the way these threads usually go.

It's starting to head that way. Obviously not meant to.
A question to ask, was this repair guy the agent for Waeco only; he may not have done Engel so therefore could not give an example of how many of theirs get repaired.

You look at the amount of both brands that are sold annually and for how long they have been available in Australia. There are a lot of bloody units available.
You should look at this in a positive light and say at least they have an extensive repair network set up.
As with all appliances, they breakdown. We are talking moving parts, gases, electronics. None of which are fool proof. Take into account these things are portable and with that are susceptible to more knocks than normal.

if you get a Landy you can wave at other Landy drivers too and you get to learn the secret hand shake and other groovy stuff...and there is heaps off room for your Waeco...

Supercheap Autoare selling waeco's now I see. I had a look and they look very plastic! I see in some of my old car mags that they do the 4x4 wheel up on the top of the fridge to show its strength, i would like to see that with the newer ones  8) Im a big lad and I was worried my big ass would bee a little too much!

I would still rather a Waeco than nothing!
