Mitsubushi Outlander & Jayco Eagle

I have some relation who just bought a Jayco Eagle to tow with their Outlander. It sits at a it of an angle and pushes the rear of the car down (heavy Ball Weight) i sugested puting the axle over the springs as it is currently under the springs. They were given advice elsewhere and have bought a set of weight distribution bars

My question : Is this a viable solution?

i'm not able to comment on that option (springs), however, i think it's important to check the towing capacity, of the vehicle.

the ball weight for those things is over 100kgs, and the weight of the actual campers puts it into the category that requires brakes. so that should be considered, also, when you start loading gear into the camper, you may hit the limit of the vehicle.

If it's an Outback model Eagle you'll have to watch the ball weight they are nose heavy and would be getting very close to the outlander limt

As for levelling if it's a Hayman Reece Type Height hitch they have, you can invert the shank and use the adjustment holes to help with heigth, this will also bring the rear back up when set up right. Have heard that the Outerlander has a split tailgate and the lower half will hit the towball when opened

I have an outlander as a work car and they do have a split tailgate.  Mine never tows and does not a towbar but the things sits low down in the rear anyway.  It always looks like the tyres are flat.  I would think you would need to look at a number of issues to fix the problem.
