My P7 from catch of the day turned up this morning. Interesting packaging where you can test the torch by pushing the little plastic lever and it reflects in the mirror. Tip of the day, don't look in the mirror when you push the lever as they're bright

The last of my torch orders turned up today as well.
Ended up buying 2 P7's, 2 H7"s and 2 small Cree TrustFire. Very happy with them all.
Total cost was less than the RRP of 1 H7.

Jeez those torches are almost as much as my infrared night vision scope i use for searching for wildlife!

What's the beam like compared to a standard 4D maglight?

Not sure how they compare to a maglight and the beam is adjustable. When zoomed in you have no trouble lighting up a tree from 150m.
If you buy of e bay or similar, prices are not to bad. Last buy I did was for 1 P7 and 2 H7's, cost delivered was $110.

p7 far superior to 4d mag,have both and p7 is so much easier to carry and battery life is 10x better

I started of through e-bay with theledtorch, sent them an e-mail request for mulitpy purchase and combining freight. The above e-mail address is the one the reply came through. Ended up doing it direct. Severice was very good.
Only thing I found strange was the first reply was for $125, next time he quoted $120, then sent a PayPal invoice for $110. I just paid the $110 and it was here in 4 days.
Had a play with the H7 headset last night. Great torch. Has a variable focus as well as a dimmer. Not as bright as the P7 but not far off.

You wouldn't look at a standard maglite after one of these. Maglite really dropped the ball when it comes to technology, and people like LED LENSER have picked it up and are running with it.

I think they would hold up pretty well. Already used by the Police and some other services.

I think your head would break before it would How many times have you run over your maglite in a semi?? I have seen the add but seriously I take more care of them than that. Having said that I think they are comparable.

I use an LED Lenser H7 and it is awsome--gives similar output and range to my maglite D4 halogen. Plus AAA's are a damn site cheaper than D cells. Although the batteries last about 1/3 as long as the Mag

I tried my P7 tonight and whilst it is good and very bright, I prefer my 4D Maglite. The LED Lenser guys need to work on their optics, the spot is ok but the spread is useless.

I have just received a new torch. I wanted something for work (i work nights) that was small and light to go in my pocket or on a belt that takes AA's. It had to be waterproof as i sometimes work outside in the rain and also VERY bright. I already have the usual Mini 2xAA & 4D maglights but it's not very bright. I ended up deciding on a brand i haven't heard of before and went with a Klarus ST20:





It supposedly does 240 lumens from it's Cree XP-G which is a bit more than the LED Lenser's P7 but im sure it won't be that much brighter. It's got a whole heap of modes like beacon, sos, strobe and a few brightness settings. Apparently strobe is a defensive mode   It's fully waterproof. The only thing it doesn't have that the P7 has is the adjustable focus.







It sure does look the goods, the quality is outstanding and blows away my current 2xAA & 4D maglights and 'supermarket' 3xAAA LED torches.

I have the LED Lenser P7, great little torch with plenty of beam, don't know the M7R but if it's anything like mine, more than worth it

I actually have this same model and have liked it.  The price isn't too bad for what you get for its function.  It can reach far into the woods at night.  It's fun to survey the forest.
