What Teabag said ...

Back in the day it was "Horrid Noise" by the parents and then it was "80's" by the DJ's ... I think it's called "MainStream" now ... go figure ... still love it though!  Don't mind a bit of C&W myself, but only every 20th or 30th song and definitely NOT that one about the feather bed purr-leese!

But never louder than the environment ... of course.

Hi All,

Given that there would be severe competition between the three of us (not to mention arguments over how loud the winning choice should be) we go with the sound of the fire, a good yarn, the scurrying sounds of our natural neighbours and the odd squeal of laughter over music. However, I am not averse to Ms 13 listening to the iPod if it keeps her happy - nothing worse than the sound of whining teens around the fire.

Love weekend camping whenever we can in our 2002 Cub Spacematic (Transcontinental Pack) with the 80series LC. See you out there!! J

Hi guys and gals

when it comes to music around the campfire, i cant go past John Williamson. For some reason it gives me a real sense of aussie spirit and his songs are easy to sing along to. If im in a bit more of a whacky mood, a bit of 12th man, kevin bl00dy wilson and rodney rude seem to keep the atmosphere lively.

hope everyone is packing their trailers for the holidays!

Got to go with so many others here, the bush classics, nature's own making.  Never the same tune twice. (sorry in short no music)

Much prefer none, but almost always someone else in camp spoils the atmosphere with some garbage.

I normally can't stand listening to this guy but for some reason, out in the scrub, his music just seems to blend in.

I much prefer the silence of the bush too, I also like a bit of soft rock/folk rock and blues, Eagles, Birds, Dylan, Steely Dan, Jerry Raferty, Van Morrison.

I was very partial to some of the songs Snow was singing at Knorrit Flat, one in particular suited his voice to a tee!!

I leave the load music for home, Zepplin, Black Sabbath and so on ;D

One thing I cannot stand is Country >:D >:D >:D

I can like almost any type of music ( but its gotta be "the" song that does it for you ) .....but can't stand the old style of country ( you know the stuff that sounds like a cat getting strangled )

But around the campfire.....I find it drowns out the meaningful "dribble" we're trying to discuss !! ;D ;D

We dont mind some gentle background country music around the camp fire but we keep it down while its early and we are chatting. When we are in the bush on our we will put some good 80's rock on nice and loud later in the night when there are plenty of empties in the bin ;)
