Thought they might have give it a bit of a spruce up and got the Squidleys chipping and painting the rusty bits before getting into harbour .. ;D ;D
Sure would be a sight close up [ well as close as you can get ] .. Will never forget how sleek and low the WW2 Battleship USS New Jersey  looked when we got to see and crawl over it in the port of Brisbane ..

Nah, it's actually painted on that way to make it look like they've been doing it tough, so everybody feels sorry for them >:D

Loved the shot on the News when they came in to Brissie, with a couple of Marines manning a .50 cal up the front - are they actually expecting to be attacked in the Brisbane River ???

Maybe someone needs to explain that the Battle of Brisbane https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Brisbane happened a long time ago now & I don't think anyone's planning a re-match :D

Of course they were suspicious.  Everyone knows that Austria is landlocked but here they are sailing to it.

I believe that as a result of the attack on Pearl Harbour, that ever since US war ships have been required to maintain some staff at action stations and able to defend the ship/boat.

I suppose with terrorism around it is probably nearly equally relevant now.
